A new starting point for anime viewers
Anime Gazette’s watch area now brings together four full first episodes, giving readers a straightforward introduction to four different series. The focus is finished animation with an identifiable official source, rather than a list of production promises or short clips presented as complete shows.
The selection spans intricate fantasy, supernatural comedy, action and dark science fiction. All four uploads are from Crunchyroll’s official YouTube channel. Their video titles and publisher were checked on 17 October 2026; this is an announcement about additions to our library, not a report of four new release dates.
Meet the four additions
Witch Hat Atelier — Episode 1, The Magic That Started Everything: Coco’s fascination with magic opens a door into a world of wonder, craft and consequences. The official upload is labelled SUB/DUB. Expect fantasy peril and distressing scenes.
Mob Psycho 100 — Episode 1, Self-Proclaimed Psychic: Reigen Arataka ~And Mob~: an understated boy with extraordinary psychic ability works alongside a very confident self-proclaimed expert. The selected upload is an English dub, with supernatural threats, frightening imagery and comic violence.
Black Clover — Episode 1, Asta and Yuno: two rivals grow up in a world shaped by magical ability, while Asta challenges its expectations. The official upload is labelled SUB/DUB. Its introduction to ambition and rivalry includes fantasy fighting and action violence.
Assassination Classroom — Episode 1, Assassination Time: a class receives an extraordinary teacher and an alarming assignment in a darkly comic story about learning and belonging. The selected upload has English subtitles. Its school-assassination premise, weapons and violence mean it should not be treated as children’s programming.
How to watch—and what happens next
Open Anime Gazette’s watch section and choose Watch on a show’s card. The embedded player loads after that choice. Every entry also includes a direct official-source link, so readers can open the same episode on YouTube.
When an episode finishes, use Next pick to try the next show in this selection. This switches between different series; it does not claim to provide episode two or a complete season. There is no automatic jump through broken videos and no substitution of unrelated footage.
Playback, advertising, language options and country restrictions remain controlled by YouTube and the publisher. A verified upload is not a guarantee of playback in every region, and an upload may later be withdrawn. Continuing a series on its official service may require a subscription.
Finished episodes, clearly separate from original scripts
The watch library is distinct from Anime Gazette’s original scripts, manga research and commentary. An original script remains writing unless animation has actually been produced; the new viewing section does not turn those concepts into finished shows.
The Dev Log is linking to and embedding third-party official uploads. Rights remain with their owners. This announcement does not claim that we produced these anime, obtained a new distribution agreement or entered a partnership with Crunchyroll.
Short press release
The Dev Log has added four complete anime premiere episodes to Anime Gazette: Witch Hat Atelier, Mob Psycho 100, Black Clover and Assassination Classroom. Readers can choose a show, watch its official Crunchyroll YouTube upload or open the source directly. These are finished, third-party episodes—not trailers, unproduced scripts or unrelated placeholder films. Each selection includes language information and a content advisory. “New” means new to this library, not a claim that the shows have just been released. Availability depends on the publisher and the viewer’s region.
